"To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift" ~Prefontaine

I have registered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s TEAM IN TRAINING to run the Vancouver, Canada Half Marathon on May 2, 2004!
Yes, that’s 13.1 really long miles. O.K., you can get up off the floor – I know this may be hard to believe. What have I gotten myself into, right? I’ve been asking myself the same question since I made this decision.

The more I’ve learned about TNT, the more I’ve realized what an awesome program it really is! And what a better way to test its greatness than to join myself!!

So how am I really going to get through this? When nothing else works, inspiration and motivation will come from my Honored Hero, Janelle Tole. Janelle is a precious 16-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. She had a bone marrow transplant in August of 2001. The challenges I have yet to face are nothing compared to the challenges that Janelle, her family & so many others face every day. I am also running in honor of Ethan Bartholomew (age 4) & Elizabeth Bustamante (age 11), both diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Also for Joe Copeland with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma & Michael Salvatore (age 14) with Hodgkin’s.
